We meet bi-monthly at the Library for our general club meetings, but there is much more! Here are the details . . .
Workshops:
- hands-on workshops on a variety of subjects
and levels of expertise
- led by an advanced level member of the
club
- usually Thursdays alternate to the regular
club meetings
- not held at the Library
- members must register for the workshop at the preceding club meeting.
Lectures:
- presented at general club meetings by
highly regarded experts in photography
- wide range of subjects, including photographic
techniques, software, and technology
Competitions:
- there are four competitions annually,
of projected images & prints
- competitions are divided into novice and
advanced levels
- evaluated by accredited judges from outside
of the club
- results presented at club meetings with
scores, comments & awards
Interclub Competitions:
- G.T.C.C.C. Competition: an annual competition
among GTA camera clubs
- Bronze Box: a friendly competition with
the Hamilton Camera Club
Field Trips:
- club members share hands-on photographic
learning experiences, under the guidance
of advanced level members
- additional dates beyond those listed in
the calendar will be announced
Annual Awards Banquet:
- a wonderful meal and social evening to
close the program for the year
- display of images and results of the year-end
competition
- fun competitions scored by the audience
- presentation of awards and trophies
