Waterfront Walk 2009

Waterfront Walk - Sunday May 10, 2009

Organized and guided by Pete Neely, members of the club enjoyed a wonderful photo opportunity and walk, throughout Toronto's Harbourfront from York St. to Ireland Park - well almost to Ireland Park - we were having such a great day that many of us ran out of time.

Pete met us in the Second Cup at the foot of York St. at Queen's Quay, where we got our morning started with a coffee and muffin. Pete then rallied the troops with an outline of our route and what some of the photo opportunities might be. He also gave us some photography hints and tips.

Harbourfront provided many opportunities to get creative with our cameras, focusing on people, nature, watercraft, landscapes, architecture, lines, form and texture.

Some members enjoyed the area independently, reconnecting with the group throughout the morning, while many took advantage of Pete's vast expertise in the art of photography and his familiarity with the area, to benefit from much appreciated consultation and advice.

By mid afternoon, we were starting to wind down, having enjoyed the photographic opportunities, many useful tips, and the camaraderie of fellow club members. Thanks again to Pete for a great day.
