I started getting serious about my photography at age 13 when my father let me use his baby Rolleiflex on a trip to Disneyland. Soon I had saved up enough money to buy a Rolleicord of my own and loved doing B&W printing and making colour transparences. Today, only the equipment has changed: a Hasselblad for the B&W and a Canon EOS Elan IIe for slides.

Graphic abstracts and patterns are my favorite subjects, but vivid, colourful images are a close second. I also dabble in landscapes, architecture, macro, infra-red and Polaroid emulsion transfers. My two all time favorite photographers are Ansel Adams and Freeman Patterson. Although I am self-taught, I consider myself a life-long student of photography with an extensive library of almost 200 photography books and 36 years of images.
